WORLD DAY OF PRAYER
Friday, March 6th
Theme: “I Will Give You Rest, Come” Matthew 11:28-30
9:30 a.m. at Second Presbyterian Church 812 Edith Blvd NE
(at the NE corner of Lomas and Edith)
World Day of Prayer (WDP) is a worldwide ecumenical movement of Christian women of many faith traditions who come together for an annual observance of a common day of prayer and action on the first Friday in March. Each year, a different country serves as the writer of the WDP worship service, interpreting the Bible in their own context and lifting up in prayer the challenges and issues experienced by women and children across the globe. WDP promotes justice and equality for women through prayer, partnerships, service, and celebration. This year, the focus is Nigeria. At a time when people worldwide are carrying heavy burdens, our Nigerian sisters offer profound insights into finding rest in God.
In addition, we will be honoring one of our women with the Valiant Woman Award!

Children are welcome to all events. We will have a basket of toys, coloring books, etc., to help entertain them during the service or informational program.
On bad weather days, if the public schools are closed, or on two hour delay, we will not hold our meeting.
